Aberystwyth Angling Association has game fishing available on a variety of lakes and river beats around Aberystwyth in Ceredigion. The Aberystwyth Angling Association was founded in the 1920’s. The Association has fishing rights to the River Rheidol, a productive sea trout and salmon river, and also access to 11 lakes in the surrounding hills. Most of the lakes are earth dam reservoirs constructed in the 1800’s to supply water for the long abandoned lead and silver mines. Fully naturalised, these lakes offer a wide variety of characteristics, and contain wild and stocked brown trout. Day tickets are available online with the Fishing Passport, or in local Tackle shops in Aberystwyth.
