The Upper Tanat Fishing Club provides river and still-water fly-fishing for trout and grayling. Fishing is limited to members and their guests. Its waters are set in the beautiful countryside of the Welsh marches of Montgomeryshire and North Shropshire in the foothills of the Berwyn Mountains. Club members currently enjoy, through cooperation with the riparian owners, fishing on approximately 7 miles of single and double-bank fishing on the River Tanat, a major tributary of the river Vyrnwy, which in turn flows into the upper river Severn. Members also have access to fishing on a small upland lake of approximately 9 acres at 1500 ft in the Berwyn Mountains.
