The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Fenni Fach) - Fishing in Wales

The Fishing Passport: River Usk (Fenni Fach)

The Fenni Fach beat is a wonderful 1.5 mile stretch of water just upstream of Brecon.

With a series of pools, runs and gutters, it is extremely diverse and provides excellent fishing in very peaceful surroundings. This is predominantly trout fishing with good salmon fishing when water conditions are right.

This is not the easiest Usk beat for wading, chest waders with stud or stud/felt soles a must. Parking is less than 300m from the river.

Day ticket anglers are there at the invitation of the landowner and any ‘No Public Access’ signs can be ignored. They are in place for the general public – not day ticket anglers.

Block Booking is available on this beat. You can book all the tickets available online. You can only fish up to the maximum daily number of people allowed for that type of fishing.

There is a fantastic holiday cottage situated in the woods very near to the beat that is ideal for two or three anglers wanting to fish Fenni Fach or nearby Usk beats. For more information and to book, please click here.
