Ogwen Valley Angling Association has wild brown trout fishing on Llyn Bochlwyd in Gwynedd. Llyn Bochlwyd is located below Tryfan and Glyder Fach 555m above sea level. Anglers should aim for the stream flowing from the lake, which can be seen well to the right of Tryfan. The path alongside the stream is very steep so do take a few stops to admire the fantastic views. Accessing this fishery does take an ample level of fitness, but even at a medium pace you can reach the lake in 40-45 minutes. Given its altitude, do be prepared for sudden changes in the weather. This can be wild fishing in more than one sense. Natural wild brown trout only in this lake up to ½lb but they are strong fighting fish.
