Llyn Brenig is a 920 acre reservoir near Cerrig-y-Drudion. It offers excellent boat and bank fishing for trout and at certain times of the year, pike fishing. The wild brown trout population is supplemented with regular stocking of brown, rainbow and tiger trout. The fish grow on well in the cold, clean water. Brenig is renowned as a ‘top of the water’ fishery and holds numerous competitions through the year, including Welsh international team trials and the Llanillar Airflo classic competition. Fly fishing only is permitted. The fishing is controlled by Welsh Water, tickets from the visitor centre on-site. Tickets for Brenig can also be booked online prior to fishing.
