river rhymney grayling fishing

Llanbradach Angling Club

Llanbradach Angling Club controls approximately one and half miles of fishing on the River Rhymney, a small post industrial river. This is urban and semi-urban fishing.

This stretch is well known for its prolific catches of grayling during the winter/autumn months and is well suited to fly fishing. Other species include wild brown trout, the odd chub, sea trout and salmon.

UPDATE: Llanbradach Angling Club is now part of Royal Oak Angling Club and falls under Royal Oak day and season permits.

For Royal Oak/Llanbradach AA waters day and season ticket inquiries should be made to Tony’s Tackle Shop in Caerphilly.
