Cwmbran Angling Association has game fishing for wild brown trout on the River Lwyd, a tributary of the Usk. Once heavily polluted, the Lwyd now has wild brown trout and good fly life. Enquiries can be made via the Facebook page. Pontymister Angling & Hunting Supplies and Cwm Bran Angling shops sell tickets locally.
