A fairly large reservoir, Craig-y-Pystyll is long and narrow in shape with nearly 2 mile of bank to roam. Craig-y-Pystyll is the place to go if you want to fish for natural brown trout. The fish are generally small but beautifully marked. They can run to 1lb plus, but a 12oz is a good fish here. It is only lightly fished due to its inaccessibility. Access is via a rough Forestry track which will take you o within a 500yd walk to the nearest bank. Fly fishing, spinning and earthworm fishing are allowed on Craig-y-Pystyll .
