Cowbridge & District Angling Club has fishing on the River Thaw for brown trout. The club also has a short stretch of a tributary, the Kenson river, at Penmark. The club also has a stretch on the river Ely near Pendoylan. The Thaw is a small narrow river that can be hard to fish. Unlike most rivers in Wales it is more lowland in character and is spring fed. It holds wild brown trout and stocked brown trout. Sea trout also run the Thaw. The best stretch is around Cowbridge. The Ely is a medium sized river that has wild trout, grayling and a few chub and dace. Hon Sec for Cowbridge Anglers Justin Isaac 07971540924. Treasurer Richard Jones 07974792143
