Welcome to The Wynnstay, a traditional coaching inn, hotel and eatery in the heart of historic Machynlleth in mid Wales, a short distance from the famous river Dyfi. We provide comfortable accommodation, fine dining and an exceptional wine list – in a relaxed, friendly setting. The Wynnstay makes an excellent base for exploring the fishing around Machynlleth, the river Dyfi for its sea trout and salmon, the wild brown trout llyn fishing of mid Wales, and fishing for specimen rainbow trout on the mighty Clywedog reservoir. Enjoy a wide array of nearby angling activities during the day, then toast yourself in our fisherman’s bar (with angling memorabilia) or relax in front of our roaring fire by night.
